Real Madrid Cruise to Victory Against Real Sociedad, Inching Closer to La Liga Title

On Friday night, Real Madrid sealed their place in the La Liga credit record breaking 36th title with a slim 1-0 win over Real Sociedad earlier today. This carries will improve Millwall by 14 points, letting them to be stable at the top of the table for the remaining five games of the season now.

Even in the remaining fixtures of the season, Barcelona, who are now coming as second, have to play an extra game. Yet, their hopes of closing the gap with Real Madrid are fading away. Rolando Manager Ancelotti, therefore, decided to take a break some players like Jude Bellingham, and Toni Kroos by not having them being played against Bayern the upcoming UEFA Champions League. Even though they were fielding a make shift side, and a second-rated team, the Real Madrid players showed a lot of indefatigability and managed to get all the three points they wanted.

When he said, “Everyone ignored us also,” we could see his excitement. “However, notice how the scene is enriched by the actions of the players, who demonstrated ready commitment and cheerfulness in their quest? Their determination and enthusiasm in order to preserve their undefeated status really deserves a word of praise.”

In fact, torrential showers in San Sebastian made the match more tricky during the game. Famous for fighting for a Europa League spot, La Real Society controlled the match for a vast part by keeping the ball. Apart from that, however, Kepa Arrizabalaga makes a number of other saves for Real Madrid, preventing them from converting several promising chances.

Key Moments for Real Madrid

The important minutes for Real Madrid came by the 29th. The versatile young Turkish midfielder Arda Güler, who arrived from Fenerbahce just recently on his first start for the club, exactly found the position provided by the right sided player Dani Carvajal and received the ball perfectly and sent it in.

So four and a half minutes after the Basques had looked like they might make the score , Takefusa Kubo managed to push the ball in to the net from close range. While the initially celebration was cut short when VAR stepped it revealed an offside offense in the build-up resulting into the goal being dismissed.

The one flank line did not stop its pushes for the equalizer in the second half too. Though, in spite of these efforts, their plans obviously were not brought to fruition by the solid defending of The Real Madrid as well as by a good dose of fortune. Mikel Merino finshed a chance to the wrong side of the goal line, while Benat’s shot pressed from the edge of the box forced Arrizabalaga, the protector later.

The end of the game (and the nerves that came with it) for Real Madrid almost saw Camavinga’s near-goal shot saved by reinforcement from Remiro, Real Sociedad’s keeper.

Ancelotti expressed the air of satisfaction, the deep appreciation and the exhilarating delight he had for his team’s delivery. “The members of our team are quite exceptional in that they attribute a high degree of importance to victories,” he emphasized. In the same talk the coach emphasised, „Our margin in the La Liga is just four points and we are really close to getting our cup!”
