Surprising Upset: Duquesne Stuns BYU Basketball in NCAA Tournament

The BYU basketball team had an amazing season, but the season ended with a regrettable 71-67 loss to the eleventh-ranked Duquesne team. Both sides were at each other’s necks consistently from tip-off.

Duquesne had a quick start, leading 9-0 in the first half. They continued their confidence into the second half of the game and went on an 8-2 run to take a commanding fifteen point lead.

Throughout the entire game, Duquesne made BYU play at its tempo. BYU took only twenty-four three-point shots all night long, of which they made eight.

Jackson Robinson played his heart out in his last game as a BYU player. Ultimately he converted 8 of 15 shots for a total of 25 points.

Despite this setback, all BYU fans can be happy with how their team fared over the course of the season. Even though it’s sad to see it ending this way, there will be numerous memorable occurrences and achievements along this journey.
