Toulouse France – It was a heartbreaking last match in French Ligue 1 and no doubt the most intense in Brest! Brestois stadium secured Champions League qualification for the first time in the club’s history with a 3-0 victory over Toulouse while Lille who were hoping for a reverse lost 0-0 to Nice.
Fans of Brest celebrated this result loudly! Backers of the two at bars and homes also stood up in celebration with Klub House coming alive when the first goal was confirmed. Even in Toulouse, Brest supporters painted the stadium with their red and white flag and after the team got the three points, the players made a beeline for their fans.
This is a great milestone for Brest indeed! The stones they are throwing these days is just the same teams they were struggling to balance in the league last year and next week they will be playing the biggest clubs in Europe. When the players emerged from the changing room they were simply overjoyed and began to sing the Champions League anthem.
